Farm Store Open 10am-12pm Saturdays
Our Story
You’re juggling it all — schooling, family schedules, meals, and never-ending to-do lists. You’re giving so much to everyone else, and some days, it feels like there’s nothing left for you.
We see you. We’ve been there too.
We didn’t grow up seeing every meal made from scratch, and sometimes, despite the love and effort, the kitchen can feel like a place of stress rather than joy. We know what it’s like to run out of creative energy, to wonder if your kids will even enjoy what’s on the table, and to long for someone to say, “I’ve got you.”
That’s why we created Selah Farms.
We’re the Hartzler family — raising our children on a farm in Smithville, Ohio, homeschooling them, and learning daily what it means to nourish both body and soul. Sometimes we say we have free range chickens, pigs, cows, and children ;) We raise our animals with care and integrity, slow down long enough to craft meals that taste like abundance, and host retreats that remind families what it feels like to breathe again.
Every pasture-raised cut of meat, every retreat experience, every coaching session is designed to bring you support, encouragement, and a sense of rhythm back into your home. It’s food you can trust. It’s a table where you belong. It’s a pause in the chaos, a space to savor God’s abundance, and a reminder that nourishment goes far beyond the plate.
We invite you to the table — to slow down, to savor, to rest, and to know that someone is here, cheering you on, and bringing life back into your kitchen and your family’s bellies.
